About

One Health in Action Liberia is a nonprofit dedicated to translating the One Health approach into practical, community-driven solutions. From our roots in zoonotic disease response to pioneering school clubs, we work at the human, animal, and environment interface to build a healthier, more resilient Liberia.

Vision

A healthy, resilient Liberia where communities are empowered to prevent and respond to health threats through integrated, multisectoral collaboration.

Mission

To build Liberia’s One Health workforce and foster collaboration among human, animal, and environmental health sectors through youth engagement, community education, research, and policy advocacy.

Why One Health?

Liberia faces health threats such as Lassa fever, Ebola, and emerging zoonoses. These diseases share a common root of animal origin. The increase in human population, human interaction with animals, and environment call for a multisectoral One Health approach. One Health unites sectors to break that chain of transmission and build sustainable prevention.
